The Tremec T6060 is a 6-speed manual transmission known for its use in high-performance and sports cars. Manufactured by Tremec, it features robust construction, high torque capacity, and a variety of gear ratios for acceleration and top-end speed. The transmission is often made of aluminum to reduce weight, has synchronizers for smooth shifting, and may offer aftermarket support for upgrades. Regular maintenance, including fluid checks and addressing issues promptly, is essential for optimal performance. For the latest details, it's recommended to check Tremec's latest information or the specific documentation from the vehicle manufacturer.

A/C Controller Calibration

Interior of a vehicle dashboard showing an empty space with a black cover and an orange arrow pointing at a round red object.

When installing the senesors to retrofit this AC system using the original controls, we calibrate the “throw” of 3 control panel sensors so the system knows the upper limit and lower limits of the original switches. If you experience odd behavior from the A/C unit. Where the function is reversed, you will want to recalibrate the unit.

The Calibration function is controlled with a magnetic sensor located in the middle left wall of the glove box. Using the supplied magnet or a magnet of your own, follow this procedure to calibrate your AC controls

FASTENER TORQUE SETTINGS

When it comes to fastening parts securely and safely, fastener torque settings play a crucial role. Fastener torque settings, also known as torque specifications, determine the clamping force applied to a screw, bolt or other fastener.

REPLACEABLE PARTS

Regularly replacing essential car parts offers numerous benefits, enhancing both performance and longevity. Timely changes, such as oil and air filters, contribute to an extended lifespan by preventing premature wear. Improved fuel efficiency is another perk, achieved through the replacement of filters, ensuring optimal combustion.

If fuel drips - Immediately clean body

The clear coat paint we use for this restoration is sensitive to gas. If gas drips onto the paint and is left to sit, it will turn the clear coat yellow. There is no remedy or fix this issue.

If the clearcoat of your vehicle becomes yellowed due to fuel drips, the panel must be sanded and repainted.

No brake cleaner on wheels or paint

Keep brake cleaner and solvents off all painted surfaces. The wheels on this vehicle are polished, clear coated and painted after they are formed. Brake cleaner and other mineral solvents will cause the clear coat and paint to become cloudy.

Do not use abrasives on wheels. Abrasives will cause the clear coat to become cloudy or scratch the aluminum of the wheel.
*CRC Bräkleen

Maintain rubber seals

When possible we use all new rubber seals and gaskets. There are a mix of new and used seals on each Vigilante. Keep seals oiled using a seal restoration product or Vaseline.

Glass

The glass on your vehicle is newly cut and tempered. Keep water from accumulating on the glass to keep it looking clear and prevent waterspots. If waterspots accumulate on glass, we recommend using Griot’s Fine Glass Polish.
